An oven that is too big will take longer to heat and consume more fuel (wood) to maintain the correct temperature.
A lot of time and effort has been put in to designing the oven to make it an efficient performer. Our oven can easily accommodate two family size pizzas at once, but how many pizzas you can fit at one time is not relevant, once you understand how to cook in a wood fired oven.
There are a lot of factors that make a great oven, and they are all very important, size and shape is in the top three. The oven door opening is large enough to accommodate a large camp oven and the oven floor can easily accommodate 2 or 3 bread or baking trays.
